if your hir is low use a softy but when it gets lenghty us thew hard one if need be because my hir is lenghty and im usein a softy and u use a softy 4 connection

hard brushes are to get ya ingrain tight
 
soft brushes are more reccomened because u can brush alot wit them without ya head being in pain
 
and softies are good for connection

softie is always good for the waves,.....but dependin on ur texture and how long ur hair is u might need a medium and when yo is get real long while wolfin pull out the hard

at the moment im stuck in a bunk country where i cant get a proper brush  so all i can get is this xxxxxxxxtreme soft brush and they taking 4ever to fully come in   id damn near give my left leg 4 a medium right now lol j/k
