I used to get my hair professionally colored at an Aveda Insitute, but it got expensive and I got unemployedOuch. Now I wear extensions and would like to find the same color again because my box of Garnier just isn't doing it and its damaging to the already processed extension hair.

I heard that it's possible sometimes to find salon hair color on the internet where you don't need a cosmotology license. Does anyone know what those sites might be? or have any suggestions of a great brand to pick up at sallys or another BSS?

this is a picture of how it looked when I was getting it professionally done  - I really like the bright red color because it was bright enough to look different but no so crayola it didn't look like it was found in nature. (its brighter on top for two reason, sunlight and it was virgin hair)

If you are in the US you can buy professional color and developer at Sally or any other beauty supply shop (I never bought it online so I don't know about that, maybe someone else does).

I'd suggest you read Claude's sticky at the top of this board before getting into it though, chemicals are tricky things.  And test strand everything to avoid any "whole head" mistakes.

thanks! :) I finally found some red I like... its Clairol Complements in 4rc with a red intensifier and 10 volume developer since I don't want it any lighter, just redder. its a great color if anyone else out there has been searching for a good red.

People sell the pro colors on ebay.  They might be old, or you might get a good deal.  I also love that color on you.
