QuoteReplyTopic: which if any methods allow brushing to scalp? Posted: March 15 2007 at 5:40pm
One of the things that bothered me about my protac install was that I was not able to brush my own hair sufficiently close to the scalp. If I did an individual strand placement would that still be a problem? I'm considering trying again with microrings or something, though I'm currently waiting for some clips to arrive. Just curious about the brushing concern.

you can get much closer to the scalp with inviduals - I'm pretty sure the brush leducred is refering to is a looper brush. Instead of having blunt ends that can snag on the individuals, the loops glide over those parts, but separate the parts that need to be.
not sure, it wasn't so much that it would snag but that the tape was nearly as far out from my head as my actual hair so it would have been like ripping out the tapes to try to brush anything. I only had 4 oz installed too. Not sure, I'd cut the protac in half but still... it seemed like even to the top layer of my hair some was adhered maybe because my hair is so baby fine.
I've seen the looper brushes and I'll probably invest if I ever get a method that feels comfy to me, otherwise I'll likely just use the clipins. Maybe I should order a handful of shrinkies and whatever else to see what I think, though that experiment could get expensive.
