First - thanks so much to Merlin for the fabulous body wave/perm advice.

This past weekend I got my combination wavy and straight hair body waved. I love the look. I do have a question though. Does anyone know of styling products that might help define the curl without making my hair stiff? I purchased both mousse and spray-on gel and although they both define the curl, my hair feels hard and crunchy. Any guidance would be truly appreciated.

I`m glad you like your new perm. There are a number of products on the market that will help maintain your perm and you might have to try several before you find one that works on your hair. (Everyone is unique.) I have had a good experience with the Tressa Perm Care products. They are reasonably priced and work well. If you can`t find them at a store in your area, they can be ordered over the Internet. Good luck!!

I, too, am glad you love your new perm. I don`t know what products you are currently using but I like Joico Hair Care Products. They have a line of products for permed hair that restores bounce and vitality while providing volume, control and light hold. I really like their deep conditioner and can recommend it. Their leave-in conditoner is good too. You might want to give them a try. Good luck and let us know how things work out for you.
