Does wax or pomade build up on your hair? I`m trying to grow my hair out as I said in a previous post. However, it looks as though it needs to be trimmed about once a month. I had some wax and pomade I guess the brand is Body and SHine, it`s in a gold jar, one side wax, one side pomade. Is it bad to use it daily in my hair on then ends?Just so I can stretch my trims.

Depends on the pomade. Some use bees wax and that will build up. A waxless pomade will give your hair shine without leaving a waxy or greasy feel. A good waxless pomade can be applied to freshly shampooed, towel-dried hair and worked through to create definition and maneuverability. Air-dry for separation and texture or blow-dry for body. It can also be applied to dry hair for shine, separation and light control. It also a nice touch-up tool to keep short hair in place or to control frizz on curly hair. If the product you use is waxless, then you should not have a build up problem and any residue should be removed during your regular shampoos.
Merlin is right, a waxy pomade will tend to make your hair feel sticky and attract dirt. I read the ingedients of your pomade and don`t see anything really bad in it. If it works for you without being sticky and if you don`t have to shampoo more often, it is doing it`s job.
Ok thanks, but it`s not a waxy pomade that I have. One side is just wax, the other side is just pomade. Thet are divided in the jar and you don`t have to mix them.
