I've been doing a lot of reading about different types of synthetic - wawa, PH, and elite thermo mainly. Wawa and elite thermo seem great as far as price goes, but it seems like since there are a lot less color options that it might be more difficult to match my red hair. It's very red, but a one that could be found growing naturally out of someone's head. Pictures just don't seem to do it justice though. - Normally I'd probably risk the 20 bucks... but alas I'm still out of a job from this health stuff so I'd prefer to get it right on the first shot even if it means a custom weft from Ph....

Ok so there really hasn't been a question so far I realize that now, lol...

basically I'm just wonderinf if you lovely ladies can help me guage the elite thermo and wawa red/auburn shades to figure out if they'll work. The Bohyme 33 was not red enough, and the 30 was far too light and also not nearly red enough.

Also is there any type of synth that can be dyed? I thought i remembered a post about using vegtable dyes on the wawa?

TIA ladies! everytime I think I have it figured out I change my mind after reading old posts!lol

well since my main concern was color match... i bit the bullet last night and ordered me up a custom weft from PH

deluxe curly
20"

(blended)
mocca - 5%
haselnuss - 5%
dunklebraun 15%
rotbusch - 25%
kastanie - 60%

(1 meter )
aubergine (just for some fun bits ;) )

it was pricey, but with 5 meters of hair, thats 5 big installs, so I can have fresh hair all summer long that won't fade in the sun :) I hope it turns out pretty! little nervous about it!

YUM! Sounds gorgeous!
Where did you order a custom weft?
Is it a hand tied weft?

Plastikhaar does custom 5 meter wefts. I'm pretty sure they just order it through their supplier to have the colors custom blended. You can also choose the length and curl diameter, and how the colors are mixed (a true blend or in stripes, or a combination). Later on when I have some back up for this hand-ful of a puppy, I'll post some pics of the colors I chose, they are so georgus. the color selection is why I decided to go with plastikhaar, its just amazing!

the website is plastikhaar.ch They are based in Swizerland... I believe... 5 meters across, 1 meter is about 4 ounces. They measure it out differently for their wefts.
