Hey everyone! I know there's fifty million posts about this sort of topic, but I couldn't find anything on the effect of hair processes on curly hair and what happens afterwards.
Currently I have curly, fairly long, darkish brown hair (not sure if it's ashy or red, as stupid as it sounds) which I was thinking about dying to white. Now, I know I would have to get it to pale yellow and THEN a toner, and to go to a professional. I had (very small) blond highlights and then got it all dyed dark again and that's the only processing I've ever done to it. I don't even blow dry or use any irons on it.
What I'm confused about is the different ways to do this. People are talking about permanent ash blond dye and bleach, and a lot of conflicting opinions. I'm just looking for the gentlest way possible so I can hopefully keep my curls (and not fry it straight or wavy). Can anyone suggest something that might do the trick?

The only thing that will lift the colour from your hair as it is dark brown (your base colour 3 or 4 )is bleach unfortunatly. There is high lift colours but the only lift from depth of a 6 dark blonde and above.
Bleach will dry out your hair, and can damage the cuticle the more you use it.
Ash is a cool tone and red is a warm tone, look at your hair in natural daylight to see which tone you have.
