QuoteReplyTopic: hair style w/ a "cow-lick" Posted: October 04 2001 at 4:55pm
I desperately need some suggestions for a new hair style with a "cow-lick" on the front bang area. I`ve had the same style for 10+ years........long, straight, and all the same length. Because it`s in the front area, I can`t have bangs ever again. I developed this about 10 years ago, and I can`t seem to find a style I like! PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks!

I have a client that has cowlicks at the very beginning of her hairline (similar to the type of cowlicks that Claudia Schiffer has to deal with). Cowlicks can be cut into shaped bangs which control the runaway tufts of hair. Heavy bangs are usually a good option to hold down cowlicks at the very front of the hairline. By using a light pomade, mousse or gel with a blow dryer, the hairline cowlicks can be controlled. When using a blow dryer, you should have the nozzle pointing downward to help smoothe down the hair cuticle. Salon Web has a nice site with shots of a couple of styles used with cowlicks: http://salonweb.com/styles1.htm Good luck!
