Hello,

I'm new and have all my supplies ready to go for a Protac install. I'm a little confused on where to place the tapes on my head? I have fine, thin hair so I am going to try 4 oz to begin with. I've looked through the archives and found a couple diagrams but it's still not clear exactly where I should place the hair on my head.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.Embarrassed

Kristen has a demo at http://www.yourhairshop.com/demos.htm.

That should help.

I do six rows plus the side pieces. Given that I usually use 8-11 ounces of hair I need this many rows!

There are 4 ear to ear rows, and many people may not do this many. I start right on the occipital bone (the occipital bone is at the base of your skull. If you feel the indentation at the base of your skull right above that is the occipital bone.)

There are 2 temple to temple rows starting at about 1 to 1 & 1/2 inch above my ears.

The short side row on each side is about 1 & 1/2 to 2 inches from my center part. These side peices I put as close to the front hairline as possible, for me thats about an inch. This side row helps to eliminate the mullet and gives me the extra layer for cutting/razoring in the face framing  layers
