Hi, I've had the same 3/1 fade since freshman year and im ending my junior year in high school. Well, I got tired of it and I haven't gotten a hair cut in about 4 months so its really long. So here are my questions:

1) Can I get this haircut at a greatclips or costcutters, or do I have to go to a salon?

2) How much might it cost?

3) What products and techniques would I need to use to style it everyday?

4) Is there a name for this cut/style that would help the person cutting my hair?

Thanks in advance, I greatly appreciate an help. When I go in to get the cut, I'll also take this pic in to help give a visual and I'll give any descriptions that you guys can give me.

Words can mean slightly different things to different people, depending on the contexts they've heard them in before.  Bringing the picture is the best way.

The best way to find out the answers to your questions is just to go to the cheaper places and ask them how confident they are that they can give you that, and how much it would cost.  You can find good cosmetologists at cheap salons, and bad ones at expensive salons, you really just have to gauge how much you trust the person you meet, and whether they appear competent to you, then dive in.   After you get the cut, ask them to explain everything they're doing when they style it so you can imitate it later.
