My hair is medium length, and I`ve been bleeching/dying it (carefully!) for over a year. Just recently, I decided to give it a rest. The last dye-job turned out great, natural black, with a good shine.

It`s a little damaged, as I expected it would be...whatever, I know the routine, condition condition condition.

Well, it`s winter now, and I`m getting some nasty buildup...and what looks to be psoriasis! Clarifying shampoo isn`t recommended: I wash about ever day to two days as it is. I thought lightening up on the styling product might help...but it hasn`t.

Help! Is there some secret scalp cleansing recipe that won`t parch my hair?

Try Joico`s Biojoba shampoo. It`s made for scalp conditions, and it`s great for dry damaged hair.

Never heard of it, so it`s probably not available at the local supermarket. ::groan::

The nearest Sally Beauty is a trip `n a half away--it`d cost me on top of whatever the shampoo goes for.

BTW, how much _does_ it go for? o__o;;

It retails for $9.95 CDN.
You might want to try Nizoral Shampoo (at drugstore). I don`t know if you can get it in the US. I`m not too sure what it will do to your color though.
