to darken hair? Or do they just lighten? Want to work a darker tint to my hair and wondered if Aveda Clove or Artec would work.

I think they ONLY darken or add red tones, etc. I don`t see how they possibly COULD lighten. Anyway, to answer your question, yes, you most definitely can work a darker tint into your hair by using the Aveda Clove. I just did this myself. It looks very nice.

No,they don`t.
It will only change the tone of yor hair.
It is not permanent and will washout within one to two shampooings.
Unless you have over bleached blode overly porous hair,
that will tend to grab alot of deposit,but also will eventually wash off within a couple of shampooings.
