No Washing Hair for 40 Days!

For those of you who are aware of the chinese tradition observing a 40-day confinement period post-pregnancy, that's what I have to go through now.  This is my 3rd week now, and have managed to control myself and not washed my hair. Of course, my hair is as oily as you can imagine and i'm sure there's an inch of dirt piling up already. I'm just curious and worried that there is a negative effect of not washing my hair for this long.. (besides dandruff)? Like lice or hair loss? Thanks guys!
