I find combing beneficial when im wolfing and training my waves. My texture has changed after i started combing during m wolf sessions. However, if you dont have waves yet...dont comb.
i've been there, but it's like even split some do and some dont. I was looking for something a little more indepth. I also wanna know if it matters what type of comb i use and when it's safe to comb, btw this is my hair a week ago if anyone cares to look and then answer this:
you should never comb if your waves aren't deep and trained cuz that'll break ur pattern up. But once your waves are at that level i'd say comb with the fine tooth one while wolfin (you may wanna start with the spaced side first so it'll slide thru ur hair easier). it softens your hair and seems to help in connection

aight i figured the only way to learn was by trial and error. With that said, yeah i feel combing might have set me back a bit. my pattern is a little less visible but combing might not be the cause, i am getting well into my wolf so i might just be past my visibility height, also my city has a lot of humidity, and yesterday i changed to a dry heat climate. I put in some intensive care today, and i will see how it looks when i wake up. I might put up some pics to get some opinions.
well me i never been a fan of combing!!! if you want connection use a softy!!! that does it!!! combing just doesn't make sense to me!!! it really doesn't!!! its like a set back cause ur straighting ur hair!!!

I would only comb if i was in a deep wolfin session but me personally i don't prefer it. It does space your waves out a little by pulling your s pattern out slightly. I'd rather brush but your hair is way to short for a comb.
