OK. So how are 7 & 9 different and which one is better? I love the Phyto products but am not sure which one of these I should try? Any suggestions?

They are almost identical leave-in conditioners except that Phyto 9 has a more intense botantical conditioning formulation that makes it a heavier conditioner than the 7.

When my naturally dry hair is doing OK I use the 7. When it is extra dry and in any type of long hair distress I use the 9.

The best way to use this is to squeeze just a tiny dab of the rich cream into the palms of your hands and mix it well. Then lightly smooth the product over the top of your damp hair from the roots to the ends. This is the best way to use the product. If you use too much it can make your hair overly conditioned.

I love both of the products but only use 9 for stressful hair days. If someone has damaged or chemically fried hair they could use 9 on a regular basis. This is not a good product for someone with fine/thin hair unless they use a tiny tiny amount. Even then I would recommend the 7 for most cases.

I do keep both on my sink but only because my hair acts up during certain times of the year.

Best wishes,
Karen

Hi,

I went and got both of my tubes so I could right down the Phyto 7 & Phyto 9 ingredients.

Phyto 7:

Burdock Extract (ARCTIUM MAJUS), Rosemary (Rosemarinus Officinalis) Extract, Sage (Salvia Officinalis) Extract, Calendula Officinalis Extract, Willow (Salix Alba) Leaf Extract, Soybean (Glycinesoja) Extract, Althea Officinalis Extract, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Parabens. Botanical Original . 6.2 ounces of fresh plants.

Phyto 9

Burdock Extract (ARCTIUM MAJUS), Rosemary (Rosemarinus Officinalis) Extract, Sage (Salvia Officinalis) Extract, Calendula Officinalis Extract, Willow (Salix Alba) Leaf Extract, Hypericum Perforatum Extract, Soybean (Glycinesoja) Extract, Althea Officinalis Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Nut Oil, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Parabens. Botanical Original . 6.2 ounces of fresh plants.

The key difference is that Phyto 9 has Macadamia Ternifolia Nut Oil which is a very moisturizing ingredient.

Hope that helps,
Karen

Thank you so much Karen. I appreciate the list of ingredients. It does sound like the difference is that 9 is a heavier conditioner.

Hi,

Yes 9 is definitely heavier. Actually I have some on my ends right now. I like to leave it on my dry ends overnight that I wrap up in a plastic showercap.

I find 9 too moisturizing for day to day wear and keep it on tap for times when my ends get crunchy or stressed.
