I read that properly placed haircolor or hightlights can really help slim a face or play up the good and bad. Is this true? How does it work?

Just as an example, if a lady has a long face, and highlights were to be placed on the top part of the head, it could draw the eye to it, making the face appear longer or shorter. It really depends on the cut and style of the persons hair, then in combination with color or highlights.

Yes. Color, highlights, lowlights placed appropriately around the face, near the crown and even layered can definitely make all the difference.

It is a wonderful way to give definition to the face and "open it up".
