corrective color issues, please help! need advice!

OK, so this is a bit of a long story.  I'd been bleaching my hair platinum for about a year & decided that I wanted to go back to my natural color (level 7 ash blonde) so I wouldn't have to mess with it anymore.  I grew out my roots about an inch before seeing my stylist, who used a filler & then put level 7 color on my hair.  My head of hair turned dark red & my root area turned bright orange, so I went back a couple days later & had her fix the red.  After that, the red was gone from the lengths of my hair, but it's still darker than my natural color & my roots are still really brassy & about a shade lighter than the rest of my hair.  I held up my hair to swatches at Sally's & it's between a level 5 & a level 6.  My hair looks really damaged & I'm afraid if I go back & have it lightened it'll look horrible.  My stylist said that if I just let it grow out the roots won't be noticeable.  True?  Also, I really need to get this fixed before the end of July because I'm moving to another country & I'm not comfortable doing corrective color over there.  So what is the best course of action here?  Please help me! 

hi, what country are you moving to?  about your hair...ask your stylist if you won't have a weird band around your head with the brassy roots...that does not sound right....i would make her fix your hair....your hair is super pourous from bleaching but there are ways of dealing w/that...if i were you, i'd go back to the salon and talk to the manager...they should fix your hair for you....tell us what happens.  good luck.

well, it might blend...i had a situation where i actually had color lift color and my roots were hot for just a bit and then blended...over in japan, that should be interesting...tokyo is one of the major cities of the world....you might find a real good colorist over there..
