Hi all. I am in need of a good quality semi permanent hair color. I am basically a medium dark brown and want to go a shade-2 shades darker. What have you used that you like? If possible I am looking for a color I can order over the net because I am sort of in the boonies and don’t even have a Sally close by! Thanks for your help.

I like Clairol complements - Im not sure where it can be purchased online though. I went from a deep natural shade of red back to a rich dark dark near black brown a shade or so lighter than my natural color. I used the same line when I was doing my hair red also - and that actually stayed a bit better than the brown has, but I have lots of permanent red in my hair so that likes to peak though a lot. I think its a great line.

i also love aveda hair colors - they can be found online on EBay but I don't know if they have semis.

Thanks Bunny. I actually went with Clairol Natural Instincts. That will be good enough for now. I just want to tone down some red in my natural hair to prep it for extensions. I used to use permanent dyes but over the years they are too heavy so now i just use semi-permanents and they look really nice and it seems safe to do them once a month or when they fade. Thanks.
