How can I get the front of my hair thick?

 

But as you see I have split ends in the front like Ralph Fiennes and want to get them sticking together like Johnny Depp's and Tom Cruise's hair in the picture belows

 

Or do you have to have hair that is naturally sticking in the front like that. Because everywhere I have messy, medium thick and wavy hair just like I wanted it except the front part it's split up and not sticking together like I wanted it.
