Does anyone know of a lightener that you can just shampoo in? I'm tired of using sun in because you have to sit in the sun or use the blow dryer. I stopped using the hair dyes from the drug store because they smelled so strong. Anyone know of something good to use that doesn't smell horrible and is permanent to lighten hair? My hair is sandy blonde but i need to take care of the roots. thanks
i would not go with using lemon to lighten you hair it is really damaging, um other then that i am sorry but i haven't heard of anything that will lighten hair as far as non chemical process that actually work.
There really isn't a sure-fire, regulated way to lighten hair other than chemicals. all the different color infusing shampoos either contain ingredients to 'bring out tones' but don't change color or can add a funky color overtone.
The drug stores boxes smell stronger because often they ARE stronger chemicals. If your natural color isn't much darker than the one you color to, you can always go to Sallys and get the products first hand (color and a lower level developer). It will still be chemical, but you have more contorl and the chemicals will be less harsh.
