Why did this happen? I told her I wanted my hair to grow longer and she cut off about 3 inches. I"m still recovering. This happened about 1 and 1/2 months ago....

Wow...thats why I's so scared to cut my hair...this year I've cut my hair 2 times and it seems so short so I'm trying to grow it back now.
I'm not gonna give up this time!!! My hair is gonna grow no matter what they say!!!

whoa! i don't think it looks too bad..digital diva, you have one asset that will offset the bad cut...you have a beautiful face..in the first pic, you were hella-happy with your length, it shows in your face..as this cut grows out, i think you'll be happy with it too...

Though you weren't smiling in the pic on the left, you still are gorgeous, you just weren't happy with the cut...

Now, if that were ME in the pic on the left, they would have had the picture hung up in the post office by now, looking like America's Most wanted...

you have a geometric cut...and i have the feeling you know how to work with your hair as it grows back..i really wish my hair was as thick and healthy as yours...mines past shoulder length, but thin...ugh..

you'll do just fine, diva...the cut is a bit adventurous, and with a pretty face like that? you'll do just fine..

 
some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.

Awww, I'm sorry this has happened to you. Finding a stylist that you could really trust is hard to find. It doesn't look back but to cut off 3 to 4 inches is a lot, especially when you said you were looking to grow your hair out.
 
What did you tell the stylist afterward and what was her response?
 
Either way, the style looks good, but the cut did defeat the purpose.

You know stylist will never admit they did anything wrong. They always act like you're a complete nut when you tell them they're wrong. She said I should have told her I wanted my hair in a long bob. I was so mad. I just left.

I completely understand your frustration.  It feels like months of painstaking growth are gone in a snip!  Kinda makes you want to choke somebody!Ouch

Just know you are not alone.  I lost a lot of hair due to my own stupid mistake of choosing the wrong stylist/product.  Just know we are in this journey together!

Hey digitaldiva, ur hair is sooo pretty! I too have had my hard work cut by a scissor-happy-hair-stylist but ur hair looks so shiny and healthy, don't worry you will grow that length and then some!
