Is Got2B Crazy Sleek Hot Smooth Flat Iron and Blow Dry Lotion
a good heat protectant for my hair?

And also... If I decided to start using John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth
Start Corrective Shampoo & Shiner... is it ok to use that product/brand
as a shampoo and conditioner and then use a different brand heat protectant?

Sorry guys. I hope this is making sense....

Thanks...Smile

Ok, you have a few questions here.  Let me see if I can help you out.

Yes, it's ok to mix different brands for shampooing/conditioning and for heat protection.  Using the same brand of shampoo/conditioner will not make the heat protectant more effective.

Now about Got2B - the active ingredient in heat protectants is silicone.  Silicone coats the hair shaft and prevents heat from penetrating and damaging the hair.  But many products like Got2B, Bio Silk and Frizz-Ease have filler ingredients like water, alcohol and a bunch of other stuff.  These fillers just make the products less effective (and cheaper to make).

Instead of using these products, I would recommend a pure silicone like Simply Stylin'.  It has no fillers at all and is most effective for heat protection and for controlling frizz.  They give out free samples on their website simplystylinhair.com.
