My hair is tangling in a rat`s nest at least three times a day (I have to brush out the tangles three times a day!). I thought it was lack of moisture (I have long, highlighted hair) so I deep-conditioned. That lasted about 4 hours before it knotted up again. I can`t seem to tame it. I tried leave-in conditioners, Aussie 3-min miracle, deep conditioners, and the like. What else - seriously - can I do?

The best product that I have used when I had highlighted hair was K-pak by Joico. It seemed like the longer I used it the better condition my hair got in. There is a daily shampoo and conditioner and a deep conditioner. They all worked great for me esp. the deep conditioner. Good luck. If all else fails you probably should just get it cut.

Phyto 7 and Phyto 9 are great leave-in conditioners that work great at deflecting knots. You can even use the Phyto on dry hair during the day to keep knots at bay. Also, the ARTec Moisture Pak will help the driest hair.

Hi! I don`t know if this will help you or not, but it`s worth a try. When I wash my hair, I don`t pile it all up on the top of my head when I`m lathering it. I`ve found that this makes it much more tangled. What I do is: before I get into the shower, I`ll brush my hair through. Then when I`m in the shower, I`ll wet my hair down from front to back and massage the scalp with water alone for about a minute. Then I`ll apply the shampoo. But, like I said, I don`t pile it up on top of my head. I`ll work the shampoo through my hair from top to bottom, just kind of pulling it through. Your hair WILL get just as clean as if you would lather the normal way. Then I`ll rinse and condition as usual. I`ve found that my tangles have decreased tremendously by washing my hair this way. And, I only wash it every other day. Hope this helps if you decide to try it. Good luck!

Ooops. I thought you said that your hair was tangling after you washed it, not during the day! Sorry if I didn`t answer your question. I guess I should have read your thread better.
