Anyone? I just like how it makes the hair kind of piecy....
Also looking at her hair through the whole shoot, do you think it's straightened or has had anything else done to it? How do you think they got it to look like that?

Wax pomade. That will give you that piecy look. It looks like the hair has been straighten with a flat iron, and then wax was applied to the ends. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply Shary. So you think they straightened her hair while it's dry then applied the wax only to the ends, or put it all over? Also, I have lots of pomade, and I have wax, but no wax pomade -- is there a difference between pomade and wax pomade?
EDIT: Just another question about straightening -- would hair look different if it was straightened with a flat iron as opposed to chemically or thermally (japanese) straightened? And just to make sure, a flat iron is just another name for a hair straightener right, like a ceramic one?

Yeah it deft looks like wax that was applied to the ends only. If it were applied to the roots it would weight them down. As far as the difference between wax and pomade, well I've only seen wax pomade. Never one that says just wax, but I'm sure it's the same thing.
And about how the hair gets straighten, no, it doesn't make a difference as long as it is straight. You might want to apply some product to the roots first for volume and hold (if you are looking to achieve the exact same look). Redken starch works great for that.
And yeah a flat iron and a straightener are the same thing.
