Deciding right style/length for face shape- need help!!

How do you decide what style and length goes best with your face shape? I have a diamond shaped face on the small side and right now have a chin length cut with layers. I want to grow it out as long as possible without overwhelming my face. Is there a cut that would make my forehead look wider than it is so i can handle a longer style?

I have a diamond shape face, too, and a style that I wore for a while was layers, but starting at about shoulder lenght. It looked pretty good, it might be the look for you.
