Does cutting your hair regrow it into finer hair?

Hey, my hair is normal length right now but it's extremely dry and brittle, i might consider cutting it extremely short just to regrow it. is that a solution? since its summer and i wouldnt mind regrowing my hair.

cutting off hair and regrowing does not change texture- that is cause by 2 factors, genetics and hair care.  You may cut off the damaged or dry hair and start again, but before you do, try a revitalizing hot oil or protein treatment.  Are you using a dry hair shampoo and conditioner?  Try that as well.  If you choose to cut off and regrow, start off by using a shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged hair. Use a protein treatment and hot oil treatment every week or two and your hair should look much healthier.  Using a smoothing shampoo and conditioner will add shine and smoothness too.
