QuoteReplyTopic: Need curly haircut ideas! Posted: July 27 2007 at 7:03pm
OK, I have just always worn my hair long and curly (except once when I totally butched it and it sucked!). I have long, fine, thin curly hair. Gets very frizzy and dry.
I have a slightly full oval face, low forehead.
I would wear long hair, but I have 2 yong children, and it's really getting to be bothersome. I need an easy style that looks good curly or straight (when i feel the need for a change and straighten it! LOL)
If I were willing to go 'this' short I'd probably try a shag. I've been looking for haircut ideas all week and can't remember if I even saw a photo of a curly/wavy shag but did see a description on a site called hair diva or something. Maybe if you specify your search you'll find a photo somewhere. Good Luck.

In 1997 due to industry demand for a more personalized approach to education, we developed our own style of dry cutting methods and launched DCI INSTITUTE.
Our educators bring a wealth of knowledge to the institute with their international, educational experience having worked for Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy in London.
We have performed many hair shows and seminars in the following countries: UK, Italy, Denmark, Norway, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, New York, Australia and New Zealand.
In 2006 we saw an opportunity to view hairdressing education on a new platform, with the introduction of video downloads.
The Apple video iPod was the inspiration for this platform.
As we are design and technology driven, we love the idea that hairdressers can now watch educational videos on their way to and from work or wherever they please. Long gone are the days of being stuck at home in front of the TV watching hours of hairdressing videos.
At the conceptual stage of developing the videos, we investigated the options of using models over mannequins.
As purists, it was a unanimous decision to use mannequins because it allows the techniques to be shown as the key message. We wanted to eliminate all the distracting elements that normally accrue, so you are totally focused on the beauty of the technique not the beauty of the model.
By using the same mannequin and reinventing her again and again to never look the same, demonstrates how she can evolve with the techniques shown.
We have designed the videos to be approximately 10 to 15 minutes in length and feature 3 expert tips per video to help you along the way. You can view a short sample of the videos by simply clicking on the picture of the technique you are wishing to preview. A pop up video will appear which will play a preview of the technique.
Our inspiration for the hair in the videos was influenced by architecture from around the world. Such as New York’s Guggenheim, Hearst Tower and Hudson Hotel, to London’s the Gherkin, Selfridges Birmingham, Sanderson Hotel and St Martin Lane Hotel to the Bilbao Guggenheim designed by legendary architect Frank Gehry.
Our philosophy is, “Hair is fabric and we have an architectural approach to it”.
Our videos are all about the technique, focusing on the true art of hair story telling and are available in 8 different subtitled languages to ensure our global community doesn’t miss out on this exciting new direction in hairdressing education.
Our price sliding scale was developed so, the more you buy the more you benefit. For instance, if you buy 1-3 downloads they are $20 each, 3-6 downloads are $19 each, 6-9 downloads are $18 each, or 9-21 downloads are $17 each. If you buy all 22 videos they are $15 each. Our objective was to create this inspiring technology to be accessible for everyone.
We hope you enjoy our new international video downloads in hairdressing education, and look forward to enhancing our industry through continuous education, as we present new techniques every season.
