I finally found Curl Defining Spray Gel by Pantene that seems to work well. I have straight hair and love curls. I suppose if I had curls naturally, I would want straight hair, although I really can't imagine that. Anyway, I shampoo and spray it on, then blow dry with a small round brush and finish with hair spray. My hair retains some body and curl most of the day. A lot more than any other product i have used. I wet set my hair on brush rollers the other day and wow, they lasted all day.
Nice way to see how you want curls before committing to a perm.

Oh I will have to try this. I'm noticing curl definition too from Palmer's Styling Cream (light green top). The stuff is amazing and cost $6.00 but it is so worth it. It's a 24hour hold without any drying or flaking.
