OK, when i was little i would ask my mother if the hair that was coming out of my hair bad. She would respond and say it was good because it was dead hair anyway..Ouch Being a child i didn't know much about hair, so i assumed it was okay and she was right ( she probably is but i need to know) I am now 14 yrs old. I've had Very bad hair experiences, like the fact i had a perm at the age of 2! my hair has never been the same since..Cry Anyway, is the hair that's coming out breakage or dead hair?

All of our visible hair is essentially dead, or not alive.  Only the root of your hair under the scalp is alive.  The hair that's coming out of your scalp now is probably breakage.  To see if this is true, here's a test:  When you comb or brush your hair, take a strand of your hair out and examine it.  Look at the tips of the strand.  If you see a white bulb attached to one of its ends, then it is normal hair shedding and you have nothing to worry about.  On the other hand, if the strand has no white bulb at the end of it or is very short, it is breakage.

The answer to that question that it's dead hair. Depending on how you take care of your hair it could very well be dead hair as well as breakage or it could be natural shedding. The way to tell the difference between natural shedding and breakage is to see if there is a white bulb at the end of the hair. If there isn't than that means it's breakage. If you do realize that you have breakage and not shedding, you must do your best to take care of your hair.
Deep condition your hair once every week and make sure that your using a protein based deep conditioner. Well I hope this helps you to maintain your length and grow long healthy hair.

With bands of rosy hue,
Tie up my sleeves with ribbons rare,
And lace my bodice blue.
