I am new to the site and would like to know how can I create a hair regimen?  Normally, I wear lots of braids but I would like to wear my permed hair out one day without being ashamed of its shortness.

From the site you all have given me valuable information such as the pre-poo treatment, co-washing, and etc.  Now that I have taken my hair out of braids I'm not sure how to build a regimen.  So, far I use the WGO, EVOO, Shea Butter, Creme of Nature Shampoo, and VO5 Condition.  I would like to know:

Which products should I be using to promote hair growth?
What is a protein condition and which brand to use?
How to repair split ends?
How often to wash and co-wash?
Which daily moisturizers should I use?

My hair type is 4a

Thanks in advance for all your help!!

It looks like you have a good list of products but i don't see a deep conditioner, you will need one of those. Examples: cholesterol or lamaur bone marrow.

You will also need a good leave-in: such as Infusium 23( safe for daily use on your braids and you can add honey or glycerin and liquid aloe vera to this)

You can't repair splits- you have to trim them.

You should wash your hair weekly. I am natural so when not in protective syling- i co-wash daily.

Daily moisturizers would be like: S-curl spray or a water/glycerin spritz.

HTH.

~Shampoo 1X a week
~Deep Condition with a conditioner that says "moisturzing" by sitting with the conditioner
~put a leave in afterwards
~moisturize your hair Daily
~avoid combing (even with wide tooth).
~avoid heat

This is the BASIC regimine. There are of course clarifying shampoos and protein treatments that should be used once a month. If you decide to take vitamins than you must incoperate that into  you regimine (idk how vitamins work)

I forgot my password, but I would like to say thanks to you both for helping me.

The regimen that I have been implementing is as follows:

-ORS hair mayo 1X week
-Silk Elements Shampoo and Creme of Nature
-Deep Conditioner 1X week with Doo Goo
-Aphogee Protein conditioner
-no heat
-Dialy moisturizer with Revive and Restore
-WGO every other day
-Kemi Oyl, jojoba oil, and EVOCC to conditioners
-Add egg and honey to conditioners

What is the best clarifying shampoo, and how does it help my hair?

This week I plan to get more hair oils (ie. Tea Tree, Carrot oil, and Doo Goo mega thick).  Also, I need to buy Infusium 23 to use as my leave-in conditioner.  Since taking my braids out, I have not gotten a relaxer.  I have been wearing wigs for a month and plan to get a relaxer this weekend.  I would like to know will my hair still be healthy and grow despite me wearing wigs all the time.  Also, can you tell me the best relaxers to use?  I am thinking about getting ORS.

I have also been taking daily vitamins such as, Vitamin E, Calcium, and Women's One a Day Supplements.  Are there any other supplements I need to take?
