I am asking you ladies to help me decide what may be right for me as extensions go. First of all I am menopausal due to a medical condition and my hair has thinned alot in the last few years. On top of that I had a bad color job done that broke off and so  my hair is only about 2-3 inches long from the part or crown and I have been trying to grow it out since March. It is taking forever as it just does not grow very fast anymore.....so I want extensions. As I said my hair is naturally thin but getting thinner as i get older. Im 47. It is also pretty fine. So I want something that would last as long as possible without damaging my natural hair any further so that it will grow out. I am not so worried about length as i am about fullness and volume. I am very insecure about this hair issue and have totally missed out on a beautiful summer here in Texas because of it. Oh and any recommendations for  Houston area salons would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any advice!!

Well i think clip on will be good, if you are willing to stand the pull but i have heard that they are not bad at all.  It will give you volume aswell.  If not get any extension other than the glue or sew in based.

There are other options along w/ clip ins...
I had thin damaged hair from bleaching and used Liquid Gold adhesive with wefted hair and it was a-okay.

It wasn't 2-3 inches short, but I did see a picture of someone, who was from the forum, who did a beautiful install with super short thin hair...I wish I could remember who it was...

There are other options, I think a skin weft may be, don't know MUCH about those, but the others here could inform you :)

Hi Sharon, Would you be willing to posts some pics so we can get a better idea of what may work best for you? You may want to try lace frontal http://youtube.com/watch?v=xrWXupUL0YA&mode=user&search. A full lace wig would work too but I don't know if you'll want that in the Texas heat. They're much lighter in weight than regular wigs so you may want to consider getting one. http://youtube.com/watch?v=L1gp_0NNC7s&mode=user&search
