I have been highlighting my hair for a very long time. Now I want to get it back to my natural color which is chocolate brown. I have about 1 inch roots. I tried the lowlighting heavily with a golden brown and it turned out wonderful, but quickly faded where my hair has been bleached. I can't afford to go to a salon so I am looking for some help in doing it at home myself. Thanks!
i think you should go to the salon. i did the same thing 2 weeks ago and my highlights in the back are already coming through, you'll have to dye it at least 2 times to keep the highlights covered (if you have as many as i did). good luck. i used goldwell light brown with a mix of red, it came out dark at first, took some getting used to, but looks very healthy and natural! gd luck!!
