To all the 360 wavers who have sported other hairstyles, i.e. braids, cornrows, etc.; Are 360 waves the highest maintenance hairstyle? Please elaborate.
No for me braids was definitely the highest maintenance I couldn't play sports unless I was takin my braids out 2 days later or else it wouldn't stay fresh waves are a close second but braids are higher maintenance for me, especially when my hair grows out at a ridiculous rate.

I got my hair done once every two weeks and I either had my cousin do it for me or I would have my shorty do it for me I got my hair done once every 2 weeks for optimal growth.

it really depends on wut ur standards are for staying neat. i havent had braids since i was little, but i kno people now who play sports and rarely ever take their braids out and get them re-braided. but i also kno people who sometimes show up at school with their afros in pony tails because they r getting their hair re-braided soon. but its all a matter of personal opinion, i think.

It's easier for nigs wit nappier hair to stay neat since my hair is so curly a trickle of sweat can start to unravel my braids and my hair never looks sloppy once my hair got real long I was able to just take it out and ponytail it though, and come to school with that Bizzy Bone shcit!

I used to have a Elvis and a curls when I was little. My hair is naturally curly so curls weren't really something I worried about and with the elvis it was pretty easy since I would brush backwards.

yah, i think 360s are the highest maintenance hairstyle i've had. having to brush all the time, durag before i go somewhere and to sleep... my huge ass fro was a little bit of maintenance at times but nothin to talk about really. believe it or not, i've had cornrows a few times before. wish i had some pics for y'all. but those were easy as hell, especially after having long hair for a long time. just durag to sleep, wake up, u ready to go. if i didn't have waves right now and was still growin my hair, i'd have some dreadlocks right now. never had those, always wanted em. my hair was like an inch or two away from being able to get some nice lookin ones right before i cut my hair however many months ago.
"but this is the remix, with the cheap tricks, hittin' sweet licks, and I cut the braids off but the waves in the fade'll make you seasick!"

@ Gristyle. Long hair maintenance depends on your texture and what you want.
For my texture braids hardly stayed fresh for a week unless they where the really small kind. My hair is so soft and it frizzes up easy. Nappier hair lasts longer in braids.
Thank you for veryfying my statement 3-6 I had mentioned that in a previous post at the top that nappier hair is easier to maintain overall because the hair will stay in place alot easier since it's a "tighter" curl, and nigs like myself the hair won't look fresh as long as a matter of fact the longest my hair ever stayed fresh was 6 days.

Waves 4 me. I never really had 2 do much when I had braids. I got my hair braided every 2 weeks. I had like 15 people who braided my hair. sometimes i'd leave my hair down 4 a week and rock a big ass fro.

Waves by far is the hardest to maintane. I had braids most of my life. All I would do is get it braided once every 2 weeks. I had the SAME PERSON braid my hair everytime. Its important to keep the same hands in your hair if you want your hair to grow right. Every stylist have their own methods and techniques so if you stick with one your hair learns to gro w/ consistency. My hair grows long and thick so once every 2 weeks worked fine for me. I hooped through highschool and college so weneva i would sweat it would actually make my braids tighter once they dry. If it wasnt for corporate America I would still be rockin the braids. I had to cut my hair after i graduated college. Companies really dont like the image of blacks w/ long hair.
Im goin back home next weekend so i will get my pics from when i had braids and post em. Im considering growing em back now that I have a job and they know im a trustworthy/loyal consistent worker
