ok now i condition my hair about every day sometimes every other. a lot of people tell me that when i'm older i will be bald because im taking the moisture away. but that's not true bc i oil my hair every day. so what's the verdict? is it true that if you wet your hair every day you will be bald?
If people go bald it tends to be either because they have the genetics to do so, they are on medication that makes them do so or have an illness, they have damaged it a lot with chemicals, or sometimes they can go bald around the hairline if they wear it up in a style that's pulled too tight.
There are lots of myths about lots of things out there that people just pass on to each other without knowing about it, having researched it, or having tested it themselves. I don't know why we humans do that!
Either way, your scalp can't possibly be dried out with all the conditioner and oil you use anyway.

I personally, have never heard that one. I also don't see howe it could be true. If you never conditioned or oiled it, it could become drier, and then possibly brake off. I am leading towards an old wife's tale on this one, though.

One thing to consider is that if the pores get clogged new hair will stop growing in. Excessive oiling or conditioning without proper cleansing could cause clogged pores on the scalp which would in turn lead to thinning.
