What do you before the barbershop?

My barber has always told me not to do anything to my hair before I go to the barbershop. He said that he wants it like that so he doesn't miss any spots. But I have gotton the impression that some people still put products in their hair while at the barbershop, and just get it cut with a guard. I also am gonna start gettin guard cuts because before i would just tell him "can you take a little bit off all around." while this is a very broad range. So do you not put anything in your hair before you go to the barbersop, or just keep the waves in?

I wash and condition my hair before I get a haircut.  I don't apply any products to my hair and brush vigorously before my haircut.

Just wash your hair before you go get the cut and learn our different guard settings. Just saying a little off the top is not really helping. Today the barber can cut 2 wtg and next week they could cut 1.5 wtg.

wash my hair the night before and condition very well, i use cholesterol..then durag for tha night to have it neat and flat. bshop day, take it off and brush.
when in Doubt..Wolf it out!
