If you don't wear a durag and/or wave caps at night, you will lose progress over time. Durags and wave caps help preserve your wave pattern and help train your waves to lay down. Since your hair needs constant training to maintain a 360 wave pattern, brushing and using a durag and/or wave cap(s) is essential.
Remember that your hair is continually growing and the new growth must be trained. All the brushing you've done to create a 360 wave ingrain must be maintained by training new growth, which is the foundation of your ingrain.

if u take a shower at night, then i wouldn't recomment it because u wont have any time to du-rag(unless its the weekend or sumthin) but if u take a shower in the mornin then u can do ur routine, brush maybe 50 times to maintain, then wet it and dry it with a blowdryer
