QuoteReplyTopic: is it possible to only wear a few clip ins? Posted: January 01 2008 at 2:48am
Excuse this question if it sounds dumb but in the past I've had "ideas" that seemed simple.. but they never did quite work out
My hair is a little past my collar bones. It's not super thick but it is full and I do like it. I'd just like it a little bit longer. Would it be possible for me to say wear only 2-3 rows of clips in just in the back to make it look like layers? i know I might have to trim some hair a little so it's not super short - long. Is this possible?
I hate having to wear a full head of clip ins. It takes me forever to do and weighs my head down. Plus I hate not being able to run my fingers through my hair!
Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone was safe .

Yes!! You can definitely do that. I just think the two or three rows will annoy you after a while. It's not fun putting them in and most of the time they can be uncomfortable (if you wear them every day). But if you're not interested in anything permanent then by all means I think you'll be really happy with them.
I would suggest making your own since you'll get a better fit.
Happy New Year to you too!!

Yeah, I could NEVER wear a whole head every day. I would be in my friends car at the end of the night telling her how I couldn't wait to get in my house to take them out!!
I made my own set a few months ago so I'm going to play around with them now and cut cut to see what I can get. Thanks :)
Your hair sounds like mine and I do the same thing. I generally wear 2 one-inch clips on the sides and 2 layers of either 6 or 7 inches in the back. The extensions are about 3 inches past my hair length so it looks long layered and isn't too heavy.
I want/use extensions more for fullness and just want my hair a little longer than barely past my shoulders. Ideally I'd get 10-12" extensions but they're hard to find so I end up cutting mine.
