"Best" is a rather subjective word, since we all have personal favorites based upon texture, scent, feel and such. I recommend finding a gentle cleanser that does not using drying surfactants such as sodium lauryl sulfate, TEA-lauryl sulfate or sodium olefin sulfate (there are many others to avoid but these are some common ones.) Personally, I just love Redken All Soft, Loreal Nature's therapy mega moisture, Biotera moisturizing shampoo and Joico K-Pak.

I'm totally crazy about the sunsilk-range, I use the onde for curly hair, the serum is also very good to help define my curls.

My hair is now kreeping over my shoulders on it's way to an "to the top of my jeans" length

I swear by Redken Extreme!!!! Fantastic product(s)!!! Smells great, rinses wonderfully. Have been using a bit over 5 wks now. Have no buildup...hair is stronger, texture the best ever..and I color every 4 weeks to cover those 'first' greys. Also recommend Extreme Anti-Snap, leave in treatment. A little goes a long way and doesn't weigh hair down. Good luck

Mylissa, is your hair thick or fine?

I remember trying Extreme several years ago and not being impressed. But my hair is fine.

I just bought J.A.S.O.N Jojoba shampoo/conditioner because I wanted to avoid nasty chemicals, and I was pleasantly surprised! It works really well and leaves my hair so soft. I have tried other "natural" hair care formulas and thought they didn't work very well...but I am a true believer in J.A.S.O.N. :)

Shampoos are very much a "whatever works for you" haircare product. Some brands work well for one person and not another - and vice versa. And in my case, sometimes my hair is need of a certain type of shampoo, which works well at the time, but after prolonged use of that same brand, seems to beg for something else. There are several shampoos which I could use all the time, though. My best suggestion would be try to figure out what works best for your hair type and specific need, and try products that you think might work well. In one simple word: experiment.
