I dunno if anyone has checked out the new Austin Powers movie yet, but i love Foxxy Cleopatra`s hair...I really want to have a fro!! I have semi curly white person hair, my dad had a fro in college, is it possible for me? Would a perm help? Any styling products that would work?
I think she wore a wig...perhaps you can find one like it?
And `fros were pretty common in the late 60`s and 70`s on all kinds of people...I personally think they`re kinda cool, but I suspect not everyone feels the same way :)
It really depends on how curly your hair is. The longer it is the straighter it appears to be. So, you might be able to have a fro if your hair curls up when it is cut. If that doesn`t work you will need a perm and a fro cut/shaping. My uncle had an afro in the 70`s and 80`s, he was full blooded Portuguese with very thick, very wavy/curly hair. The fro was about 8 inches tall.
You can get a really curly perm and have a `fro. I had one in the seventies but the problem with it was (aside from the fact that everyone but me hated it) that when it grew out it was flat on the top. Then, unless your hair can take a reperm, you have an awful look.
