red permanent dye over faded semi..

i bleached my hair and dyed it a dark blue.. i have bleached and washed my hair with dish soap etc to try get th colour out and i have managed to lift it to a yucky light green colour with blonde roots, i dnt think i can get anymore of it out. i plan to dye over it with 'red passion' LIVE permanent hair colour. it is a rich medium red colour. do you think it would be safe to dye over the current mess iv got? or will the green effect the shade of red? my hair has always taken colours very well and similar to the box but iv never died over green hair before..
