Help on growing longer hair

   Basically ive always had short hair, and ive decided i want a change up. The problem ive been having is finding tips about this online, the only guide to long hair i found online was for long hair going down your back, and i defintely dont want that. What i want may be classified as meduim hair, not sure. Anyway the styles of hair on this following website is what ide like to have eventually.

Anyone got an idea how many inches my hair is for that, and how long it would take. My hair grows very quickly, i can do a buzz cut, and within a month and a half its growing out of control already. Also any tips on maintances, would i need too trim it during the growing process to keep it a bit tidy. I always got curly hair, does that impact anything? Thanks if anyone has got information.
