the best product for really dry (and brittle) hair that I have ever tested is: REDKEN- All soft.

I really love the Shampoo and the Spray which is called "Addicitve Spray". The effect is to be felt immediately and I am so grateful . (I don`t know if the products have the same name in the USA but I know that REDKEN is also offered in the USA)

I like the Redken All Soft products too. Here is a web site that sells them at a very reasonable price if you can`t find them in your area:

http://hairproducts4less.com/

I can also highly recommend Monoi Oil as a treatment for dry hair - it has done wonders for my friend with the same problem. You may be able to find it locally at a health food store. If not, I have had very good luck with this web site:

If your hair is dry, I would stongly recommend AGAINST a perm. Putting such strong chemicals on fragile hair would lead to disaster. Get your hair in terrific condition and that will open up options for you.

Good luck and happy conditioning. :)
