Not only was her hair dark brunette, it was stick straight and nearly waistlength. I'm not sure if it was the color or the fact that it looked greasy or the fact that her bangs are in the "growing out stage" or perhaps it was her white skin and eye makeup, but it certainly wasn't an improvement -- at least on stage in the eye of the camera. GettyImages has lots of photos showing her arrival at the Letterman show. These are among the few showing much hair and she does look better in some of these still shots than she did on TV:

Yick. I usually at least try to see the method behind styles I don't like, and I'm all for long hair when worn well, but this style is downright creepy. My only solace is knowing it is extension-based, and she changes her color and style often, so hopefully this incarnation won't hang around too long.
