Has anyone figured out a handy, space-saving way to take all your oils etc when traveling? My jojoba bottle leaks if it's not standing upright, so I have to seal it in a plastic baggie, and it gets all greasy and gross. I'm thinking of leaving my rosemary oil at home, it's such a pain to deal with so many bottles! Has some super-organized person figured out an easy way to travel with their long hair??

I don't bring my hair liquids.  I bring a solid mix of about half and half mango butter or shea butter with jojoba for hair oiling.  It melts when you hold it, but usually stays solid otherwise, including in a small jar on the plane.  I always put that kind of stuff in a check in bag, just so they don't have to worry about what it is when they're digging through my carry-ons.

I do bring other liquids for skin care, but those go in a baggy and get gross like you mentioned!

This last time I travelled, I wrapped some of that self-sealing plastic wrap around the tops of my containers.  It sticks well to the containers and  keeps them from getting opened accidently.  My biggest problem is my aloe vera gel because it's in a pump bottle.  I put the plastic wrap around it as well and placed it next to my shoes in my bag so the pump wouldn't get pressed easily.  It worked perfectly.  No mess at all.

My oil container leaks also and is already greasy so I just put it in a ziploc bag.  You can buy small empty plastic containers for around 50 cents at walmart.  They're made for travel and seal pretty tightly.  You might try something like that.

Unless you're going on an extended vacation, it's really not necessary to take everything.  Even if you use them on a regular basis at home, it won't hurt to skip some of it for a short time.  Narrow it down to what is absolutely necessary.

I tend to pamper my hair the week before I go and then take the barest minimum!! Wrapping the bottles and tubs in a carrier bag works wonders!! :D
