QuoteReplyTopic: Glamour Extensions One Piece Clip In Hair Posted: February 19 2008 at 2:54pm
Hi guys. I am newly registered on the site but have been lurking around on and off since one year ago when my own natural hair that was in excellent condition and hung to my mid back was burned down to 1/4 inch all over my crown and the rest hung like fried straw somewhere just past my ear level. This all from a very bad (highlighing) job in the hands of a professional. 40 volume bleach left on for over 2 hours WILL burn your hair off.
After that, I turned to extensions to try and regain some of my self esteem and have spent 1000's over this past year trying it all. Some I have paid to have done and some I have done myself through the advice I found on this site.
SO, thank you to everyone here for all of the help.
Nothing worked that well during those first several months as it was impossible to conceal. But, as my own hair has started growing back, I have found clip ins to be my favorite method. (The only downside being that I dislike putting them in each morning.)
Point of this post is... I have spent so much money on extenions this year and it hasn't been a good year for me economically anyway. And today, I find myself with a brand new one piece clip in set that I am unable to wear as my hair is still fairly thin towards the top and it is impossible to conceal. I will say that the multi clips are way easier for me to conceal and the cap on the one piece is probably similar to the others spoken of here, a little large in my opinion.
It just arrived today and hasn't been washed or worn, (Has been tried on) It is from Glamour Extensions and I paid 199 for it. It's human hair and it is in color 30 (Auburn). It is a beautiful piece if you like the one piece clip in idea. BTW: Jodi at Glamour Extensions is a great person to deal with but she has already gone above the call of duty in helping me and I won't bother her requesting an exchange for a multi piece clip in set.
Therefore, I would be willing to part with this piece that I can't use for a flat $100 plus shipping cost of $10.
Anyone interested?

I feel your pain on having your hair fried and it all breaks off....been there done that. I'm with you...hate putting clipin on everyday.....thats why I like my tape method and I don't have to worry about it for about 4-5 weeks.
Hope you enjoy our board......and once again....welcome to our hair world!!

The site I bought this from is actually glamourextensions.com. Different from the other Glamour site.
Glamourextensions.com carries the one piece in many colors and the color I got isn't even listed on their color choices for the one piece.
It is 30 (Auburn). I have used the Bohyme 30 and this piece is almost identical to that.
The length is 21 ". But, that is at the longest point. It has some layering like the Jessica Simpson piece and there are multiple lengths.
Also, The hair is nice, much nicer than some i have used, it is remy human hair but I will say the Bohyme is a bit nicer as far as the hair quality.
But for the price . A one piece clip set with human hair. It's a great deal if it will fit your head.
I've been trying to post a couple pics of it but have been unable to upload them. My pictures are in Jpeg format. I have followed the prompts, hit the tree, etc... But, it won't go through. Any suggestions?

You can wash it and curl it the way you like. Take it out and put it in a drawer where it stays nice all night while you sleep. The next morning you just clip it right back in. Already styled. lol
My 15 year old son still can't get over his mother putting her hair in a drawer at night.

do you have your pics on a site such as photobucket? That's where go to upload my pictures...then you have to copy the http below the picture and then put it in the space bar....remeber to remove the ectra http// in the front.....otherwise it won't load. Hope that helps.
Ill go back and see which site I was looking at...think I was on the wrong one.
I wear a mix of 30 and 12...12 being my main top color and the 30 underneath.....wondering if I could add a bit of 12 to that piece....hmmmmm
Thanks,

I don't think you would be able to add the any actual hair to it. Its a pretty solid cap style piece. You could probably (highlight/lowlight) with golden brown hair color if thats what you are thinking. I currently wear 12 and add a couple honey highlights at the front. I can pull off 12 or 30 with my own hair color and I had planned on adding a couple of honey highlights if this piece had worked.
I will try to get those pics over to photo bucket later today and then try posting. Thanks for that.

I bought the Revolution human hair piece from Glamour Hair. I was very disappointed because there's very little hair in it and they don't allow refund or exchange on this item.. $200 I'm our. Buy with caution.
Has anyone used look of love fall b tweenz human hair pieces? I've tried toni bratten and jessica simpson synthetic, but they are so shiny for my curly hair and the caps are so big. I can't afford hair extensions. I've lost money buying the revolution which wouldn't work. Anything clip on anyone has had luck with???

Sorry about your experience with the revolution. I took a look at that and could never figure out how it worked. My piece is a little different than that.
There is GlamourHair.com and GlamourExtensions.com. Mine is from Glamour Extensions and Jodi was great to work with. I just can't wear the one piece hair as its too big for my head. Some people wear the one piece all of the time and love them and others, like me, can't . I think my issue is that I have to start the top row (top of the piece) pretty low on my head as my hair is so thin at the crown and my hair parts down the back part of my crown naturally. If I could wear this piece higher up on the head, it would be a much better fit.
My experience with Jodi has been great. I emailed her back and forth before buying. Even with all of the emailing, I ended up buying a color that didn't work and Jodi very kindly exchanged for another color. (A color she hadn't even offered on her website yet)I wish I had tried on the first piece before I exchanged it though as I would have asked her to exchange the one piece set for something else entirely.
If I didn't feel like she had already gone out of her way on this color thing, I would ask her to exchange this piece... for a multi clip set.
So, that being said, from what I have seen, I would reccomend her site for clip ins. (Just be sure the one piece is a good fit for you before ordering)She is probably good about exchange if its a color match issue and product is still on cardboard, but I doubt she would exchange for a different product all together.
And, if you have worn the synthetic cap version one piece sets, this is a great deal on the same thing but with human hair.
Thanks for the feedback, I am going to look into the GlamourExtensions.com website. My hair is very fine and I also have a hard time covering the the edge & clips. Good luck with finding the right thing. ty
