QuoteReplyTopic: A shorter cut that will blend well with clip-ins? Posted: March 02 2008 at 4:34pm
Hi guys,
I have a very generic longish layered haircut (goes down my back to my shoulder blades) and I wear clip ins I made myself (my colour is a blend of 27 and 613- sort of golden/strawberry blonde) which go down to my bra strap. My shortest layers are jaw length and I have my extensions cut so they blend with the layers. My extensions- I have 3 tracks, two are doubled up and one is tripled (my real hair is very thick so my extensions have to be thick to blend). My hair and my extensions are straight.
However I am bored- my hair goes from longish layered, to long layered- the difference is about 5 inches in length but the style is the same.
Now that I have extensions I figured I should cut my real hair so I can wash and blow dry it easier and also so that I can have two separate styles. Can anyone suggest a funky style that is easy to blend?
I love some of Rihanna's bob styles! But her face is very different to mine- I have a small forehead (ok) , big eyes (love them), and a strong jaw (that I really hate!). Also I am quite tall (5'9").

I love tha asymmetrical bob Rihanna used ta rock, I still want it & I'm your height as well...but when you cut your hair are you gonna cut tha extensions as well? Or do you want a hairstyle that incorporates short hair with tha longer extensions?

I think if you do an even bob or short length of hair, you can mix in tha extensions for an asymmetrial-type look..Might wanna ask a real stylist though...
i got it cut, shoulder length.. the hairdresser cut it waaay too blunt and if I have my hair to the front (not lying down my back), it blends worse because of the bluntness!!! But it feels lighter.

I always thought the blunt cut made extension wear look worse. I have a shoulder length layered razored cut and it blends pretty well...
I'm selfish, impatient, & a little insecure, I make mistakes, I am out of control, & at times, hard to handle. But if you cant handle me at my worst, then you sure as HELL dont deserve me at my best
If you cut your hair in a blunt bob, it will be much harder to blend in naturally with the extensions in most cases. Blunt cut lines are challenging to blend in without seeing the line of where your natural hair falls over the top layer of extensions. Shorter hair is also harder to blend in as well, in general.
