I tip hair from doctored locks????

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the pre-tipped hair sold at Doctored Locks is any good?   I currently wear 18" silky straight extensions done at the salon with the fusion method (some kind of keratin glue), but I'm REALLY unhappy with the amount of shedding and I'd like to start DIYing like you guys! Having to buy more hair and go for maintenance so often is really hard on my budget.

I was hoping to try the microrings method cause it seems like it would be manageable for a first-timer. Especially with the pre-tipped hair. My own hair is super short (around 4" on top and maybe 3-4" at the back). Any advice would really be appreciated. I need a method that will let me put my hair into a ponytail during the day - I work at a construction site and it would be destroyed if I wore it down!

I also really want to get the best hair that I can and I realize that pre-tipped is expensive but I don't think I have the confidence yet to do it myself, but looking at websites, the bohyme pre-tipped is WAY over my budget.

Any advice?

And BTW, if I hadn't found this forum, I'd never even think of trying it myself - so thank you ladies...I've seen some of your install photos and they look absolutely amazing!!!!!!
