Thanks for the advice for the newbies hehe. I appreciate this website because you guys keep everything simple. I am here to begin my hair journey and after reading a few hair regimens, I have created my own...and here come the BIG BUT (lol)

If you guys don't mind I would like to post my hair regimen and PLEASE let me know if I should add something in it. Thanks:)

I thought at times that I was taking care of my hair...shampoo, condition, blowdry, flat iron and that was it. I didn't take care of my ends, I had a poor diet, got trims like once every 2 years, had the wrong hair tools. It was just horrible!!!!

I'm new at this and this is what I came up with....

I wash once a week (on sundays).....

1)Shampoo with Mane and Tail Shampoo (twice just to make sure my hair is clean)

2)Deep condition with ORS Hair Mayo with an egg, add to my hair and put a plastic cap on my head, leave the mayo in my hair for 1 hour, then rinse

3)Condition my hair with Mane and Tail and rinse

4)Add Fantasia IC Frizz buster, following with Fantasia IC Heat Protector

5)I don't have an underhead blowdryer so I can't help but to use a handheld blowdryer. I heard that I should let my hair air dry. Is that good?

6)Lately I have been using a flat iron to my hair, but NEVER  my ends and I put my hair in a bun (protective hair style)

7)I put olive oil to my ends and wrap my hair up with rollers and a silk scarf.

8)Currently taking GNC hair and skin vitamins (two times a day!!!) My food diet sucks! I have a very high metabolism and I plan to go visit my doctor and see what foods I should eat so that my body can actually absorb them.

You can add anything to your replies. I would really appreciate it!:D

Welcome to the board.

Your regime seems good.

Just a side note: There are hairdryers, look like a mushroom when the heat is on, that you can attach to your handheld blowdrier.  Might want to check that out...

Welcome your regi. sounds. IA with the other ladies about air-drying instead of blow-drying every week. Rollers- sets are a great alternative too, you can air-dry in rollers if you have the time. Also watch out for that weekly protein treatment so you don't get protein overload. Also I would suggest using a water based moisturizer during the week to keep your ends in tip-top shape, I didn't see menion of one in your regimen. HHG Smile

What water based moisturizers would you recommend? It seems like that's one of my main concerns, the ends of my hair hehe...

Oh I found a moisturizer that my mother uses. Fantasia IC Leave in Moisturizer. It looks water based. I guess I'll start using that. Can I just add that to my hair every other day without washing during the week??
