any tips for sewing wefts to make clip ins

I have two sets of clip ins and want to sew them together as my hair is so damn thick. I tried last last without sucess, only a bleeding finger :( Any tips would be appreciated so much as its my task for today the get them sewn up and trimmed for tomorrow - thanks very much

I sew my own as well. I sew single wefts onto a weave net, so they aren't bulky and are still undetectable in your hair. You could also try sewing them on stocking-type material or lace. You'd be surprised how well this works and they last for ages!

Once you put these pieces into your hair (at the partline, so it is covered by your natural hair) you can't see them.

Generally yes, the weft rows would be all the same length, unless you want it tapering to your nape. Normally, I put three wefts to one piece of netting, but it depends on the thickness of the hair you're using. I know it sounds goofy, like the netting will stick out or something, But you would be amazed at how well it is covered and undetectable. What's great is if it comes out too big, you can just trim the piece yourself!

amm wrote: Here's a photo of how to use the net or any lace to do sew in clips. Put a light layer of adhesive (like Liquid Gold) onto the material and lay it straight across the weft. Place something heavy on it so it dries straight and even. Then sew the clips right into it. Works like a charm.
