Hi,
So if you are growing your hair longer and it stalls like many of you have mentioned, do you still dust or do you not? Do you do it yourself to control how much hair is shed or do you go to a stylist to do it and tell them to go lean on the shears?
Starburst...funny you should ask that. I have been trying to decide this same thing ( though my hair has not stalled in growth) for quite awhile now. I haven't done anything until I can decide for sure which can't hurt as my hair is growing while I think about it. LOL
Let me know what you come up with. I will tell you that I dusted my hair about 5 months ago and it really didn't look or feel any different. I think I may not have dusted enough.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if your hair growth has actually "stalled," such as when your hair is growing past an imprecisely defined point of reference. Some women refer to their hair as being BSL (bra-strap length), but it seems to me that that gauge of measurement could vary, right? (as a guy, it seems very odd discussing this) So maybe your hair is still growing longer but you just don't realize it. Also, as your hair gets longer, the incremental length gains are a proportionally smaller amount of your total length. So Jacqui is right -- just wait some months and assess the growth at that time.
If I were to go to a stylist unfamiliar with an intent to grow longer, I would be very specific about what I want. "Trim one-quarter of an inch from the tips -- no more" should suffice. I would never go to a stylist and say "go lean on the shears." They might misunderstand. LOL
